abstract = "In the scope of Remote Sensing of Vegetation, the use of
vegetation indices (VIs) have been employed mainly for consisting
in a simple combination of high red wavelength absorbing and low
near-infrared (NIR) spectral range absorbing, in such way that it
is able to enhance several canopy vegetation properties. The
Normalized Difference Vegetation Index NDVI highlights itself in
this field, for providing consistent estimation of phenological
and biophysical parameters such chlorophyll content, fraction of
absorbed photosynthetically active radiation (FPAR), leaf area
index (LAI), greenness vegetation level and energy absorption in
terms of inter-annual and seasonal variability. In this way, the
current paper aims to assess monthly evolution dynamics of
Cerrado, Tropical Dry Forests (TDF) and Pasturelands (main land
use and land cover - LULC types) samples located in the North of
Minas Mesoregion among the years of 2013 to 2015. For such
purpose, it is going to be performed a profile comparative
analysis between a monthly NDVI time series from MODIS/Terra
(Surface Reflectance 8-day composited MOD09Q1 product) and monthly
precipitation data, so that ultimate seasonal variations could be
evaluated. In order to achieve the purposed objective, all
operational and statistical analysis are going to be hold in
ArcGIS 10.2.1 and Microsoft Office Excel 2013 softwares.",
